Old Town Pizza is a historic restaurant located in Portland, Oregon, and it is open to the public today. It is known for its haunted history. Old Town Pizza dates back to 1880 when the Merchant Hotel was built. The current pizzeria is located in the lobby of the old hotel. Back in the old days, the Merchant Hotel had a high reputation. However, there was a series of tunnels that ran underneath the hotel that were known for their illegal services such as prostitution. That prostitution bled into the Merchant Hotel and became a common practice. One of the prostitutes was named Nina, and she was sold into a miserable life. After living as a sex slave for several years, she had a chance to escape via missionaries who offered to help her. After giving them the necessary information, they agreed to help her. Unfortunately, her story didn’t end peacefully. She was found dead at the bottom of the elevator shaft, revealing that they killed her before she could ever escape.

Nina is the ghost who has been haunting the pizza place for over 100 years. She’s been in the building, watching over the guests thanks to her untimely death. After a life of suffering, she decides to stay at the place that kept her captive. Proof of her existence comes from the reports from guests. There’s a common saying that if you go to eat pizza there, you’ll have a visitor: Nina. She has been spotted in multiple locations, like the dining room, and she’s known for her black dress that she wears. When guests have seen her, she disappears into thin air. Her name is carved onto a brick in the back room. This back room is where guests feel her presence the most. This is because the room shares a wall with where the old elevator shaft was.
