The Pioneer Saloon is over a 100 years old and is located in the town of Goodspring, Nevada. It was built by a businessman named George Fayle back in 1913. It was known for being more than a bar; it was the social center for everyone in Goodspring, and it had a great reputation.The reason it had a great reputation was because it was built with the intent of being a safe spot for miners to gather. From there, they’d share their stories and become friends, all while having refreshing drinks after their long day. It also was visited by famous people like Clark Gable. However, the saloon does have some blood in its past. Only two years after its opening, in 1915, a man named Joe Armstrong was thought to be cheating in a cards came. When it came out that he was, he supposedly took out a pistol and shot the gambler who exposed him.

Bullet holes used to litter the walls of the saloon, and many have come there to drown in their sorrows. That’s without mentioning there were many fights that occurred there, which is unsurprising considering it’s a bar. And because of that, there’s plenty of ghost tales. Clark Gable went to the saloon to drown in his sorrows while awaiting news about his wife’s condition after a plane crash. His wife, Carole Lombard, passed away from the crash. It is said her ghost wanders the saloon in an attempt to find and console her husband. There’s another ghost lingering there as well. He’s an unnamed but kind, older spirit who likes to sit at the end of the bar. Mixologists have spotted him, and so have other guests. He only sits there, watching over the saloon to make sure nothing goes wrong.
